11/23 Notes: 11/21 6pm: absolutely perfect boy. Ate i/d stew that CW gave him. No defecation in box, 40mL pulled from u-cath bag, followed by 10 mL of flush. Vitals WNL, was purring the whole time, even when I took his temp, and was rolling over to his back for belly rubs. Such a sweet boy. KB 11/22 12am: still the best boy. 140mL of urine pulled from bag, flushed with 12mL of NaCl. Vitals WNL, still rolling over for belly rube, even when I retaped his tail and took his temp. He is a vet certified very good and nice boy. Had to be hospitalized for many urinary blockages, despite several diet changes, and had a PU surgery. He is now happy as can be and perfectly healthy. Kidney values are normal.

Swinburned 17 hr. ago I love that you have a medical record of "good boy"

tincanicarus. 16 hr. ago I had to laugh when I saw my former cat's vet notes that contained "does not seem to see treats placed in front of him, blind?"
  • 08
He wasn't blind, just orange. And also a terror patient. It was marked that he gets "very loud" when he ran out of patience for the vet treatment.

periodicsheep · 17 hr. ago I'm happy to know your boy is doing well now. one of my cats was certified as a "handsome boy" topped off by the vet kissing him on the head at his last visit.

Much_Section_8491 - 9 hr. ago lol the vet repeatedly said "you dont have to be smart because you're pretty" in a cute voice to my golden mix as he played with her as she was getting checked out

Lmaoo I mentioned how she struggles with the concept of being thrown over her head and it's better when I roll them. I thought it could be a vision concern but na, I guess she's just not the brightest hahaha

Specialist_Budget. 17 hr. ago American Shorthair My food-allergy kitty was termed a "love bug" by the vets. She had one she particularly liked-she'd be nervous but when she saw him she'd be like, hey I know you and go right over to him.

fritterkitter 17 hr. ago There you go, an official veterinary opinion that he is the best boy.

AnxiousJackof Trades 15 hr. ago I also have a very good boy with bladder issues. Luckily his was a one and done visit to get rid of the blockage and just eats prescription food now. I joke that he and I are twins because I also have bladder issues and am on a special diet

catslikesarcasm. 16 hr. ago A few years ago one of my cats (also a tabby) was being treated at a specialist veterinary hospital for his badly broken leg. He had to stay for a while before he was allowed home on cage rest. This clinic would phone me twice a day to give updates.

Similar to the comments in the OP, how he's a good, sweet boy, still purring, happy to see people and have a cuddle etc. Funny that even that their worse they can still be so happy.

CrazyCatLady1127 · 16 hr. ago I had a cat like this. He went in for a vet checkup and was purring so loudly that the vet took the stethoscope out of her ears and said to him 'you're purring so loudly I can't hear your heartbeat.'

YharnamRenegade 15 hr. ago Your dude sounds a lot like my girl. Her records from the rescue did her mentality as "BAR and very sweet" and her second respiratory rate as "purring too much". She did have to get some blood work done once (came back

rosecoloredgasmask OP. 15 hr. ago I'm always very proud getting "BAR and very sweet" on the record. My guy isn't super talkative but he has the tiniest little squeak of a meow and one of the receptionists kept making him meow and cracking up at the baby meow.

DrPepperIsDaddy. 12 hr. ago This is 100% how I write my notes. I was told in school to "never write anything in the chart that you aren't prepared to read aloud in court." Well, I will absolutely write and read aloud that your cat is "a Megachonker, BCS 8/9, morbidly obese, that loooves cheese treats."

catstaffer329 16 hr. ago This is adorable! Our vet put exuberant (in bold no less) on our kitten's notes when we went for the last of her kittening shots. I guess chasing the vet's pen around the office was a bit much for her - even tho she gave it to her to play with. LOL
